At Ardmore, we’re driven by one purpose: to help the next generation thrive, globally. Our students gain valuable life skills, make lasting friendships and become part of a talented international community.
David Walker founded Ardmore in 1984, working from a small cabin with just one client. Today, Ardmore has offices outside of London and in New York City. In 2018, Ardmore was purchased by global education group, Cognita, which has further expanded Ardmore’s global footprint.
Despite the growth and success Ardmore has achieved over the years, we are proud to have maintained our identity as a closely-knit family business. More importantly, we are proud of the reputation we have earned for delivering high-quality courses for juniors.
With students from over 30 different countries spread across all our centres, Ardmore offers the opportunity to learn and practice English and to develop new international friendships.
Our commitment to safeguarding guides all aspects of daily life at the centres. Our full program, combined with regular attendance checks, makes sure that students are always engaged and accounted for.
Additionally, between our dedicated welfare staff and our student feedback forms, we make sure that students are healthy, happy and enjoying their time with Ardmore.
We focus exclusively on young learners
It’s not just another part of our business. We design our courses bearing in mind the welfare considerations, teaching methodology, and activity programming best suited for juniors. We take pride in giving our full attention to crafting and delivering the best English language programmes, specifically created for young learners.
Safeguarding our students is our top priority
All staff must clear a complete background check process and are trained in safeguarding policies and procedures.
More than 35 years of industry expertise
We take pride in the reputation we have earned for providing outstanding English language programmes.
Multilingual, year-round support for our partner agents
Ardmore has Head Offices in the UK and USA with local, 24/7 emergency numbers during all courses. The majority of our Head Office staff has 5-20 years of experience with Ardmore.
Opportunities to mix with British students
Through collaborative programmes with our sister companies, SuperCamps and Bushcraft, international students get the chance to live and learn with native English-speaking peers.
Wide variety of centres to choose from
Ardmore has an impressive portfolio of elite universities and traditional boarding schools, spread across countryside and cities around the world.
Flexibility and client satisfaction
We are happy to tailor programs and make adjustments in order to ensure that our students have an outstanding experience.
Customised academic materials
Students are provided with placement tests, exit tests (progression assessed), and workbooks to use and take home with them at the end of the course. All content is created by educational specialists for the Ardmore program.
Superior nationality mix
We believe that a diverse nationality mix is the key to practising English outside the classroom. In 2019, we welcomed 12,000+ students from over 50 countries.
Proud members of the Active Learning Group
Ardmore has access to the resources of a large, multinational company, all while maintaining its identity as a closely-knit, family business.
Our two girls, Juliet and Jane, had two fantastic weeks in Imperial College and Brunel University. It was an amazing experience for them, which they have learnt and enjoyed so much. Really appreciate all your hard work, efficiency and care for them. You are such a wonderful team. Thanks to all the other team members as well. Thanks Ardmore.
“Thank you for everything. I can’t find words to express my happiness and gratitude for the team’s efforts. Everyone is always smiling, cooperative and tries to make us happy – even when something is not in the program, you listen and try to fulfill our desires.”
“Please tell the staff how much I appreciate them, and how much the kids love them. Words are not enough, but you need to know that my kids will never forget this summer with Ardmore.”
