Alongside our summer English language programmes, we also offer school integration programmes. These get your students into British and American schools, and into their classes. Students get to experience the same lessons as British Students, and develop their language skills in a more natural environment – challenging them both with the course content and the way they’re taking in new language information.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at what exactly students get while they take part in an Ardmore stay during the Academic year:

1. New friends

While on any Ardmore course, we welcome students from all over the world. Often, the only common language they have is English which encourages usage outside of the classroom. However, by mixing with native speakers daily, your students will begin to pick up more natural inflections and develop a tighter grasp on the language as they use it colloquially.

2. Cultural Understanding

A huge part of learning a language is also understanding it’s culture. This can give a lot of context towards vocabulary usage, and create a deeper appreciation for the language and it’s people.

By enabling your students to mingle with British and American students within their schools, they will be able to get insight into what it means to be a young person in these countries. Their world view will shift, and they will get a more all-encompassing learning experience.

3. Self-Development and awareness

Sitting in classes taught in the native language they are trying to learn will help them identify weaknesses in their understanding for themselves. Moreover, they will be able to take this self-awareness outside of the classroom as they converse with other students. This will support them through a self-driven development both in and out of the classroom.

This awareness and ability to self-assess is a key skill that they will be able to carry with them beyond the academic career and into their professional lives.
